Formula

Restart rule ≥34 consecutive off-duty hours (or off-duty + sleeper-berth) resets the 60/7 or 70/8 cycle to 0.
Hours remaining = max(0, 34 − consecutive-off-duty)
Cycle bank after restart Full cap (60 or 70) once complete; otherwise cap − pre-restart used.
Consecutive means unbroken If the driver goes on-duty during the off-duty block, the clock restarts at 0.
