A material, other than a gas, that is known to be so toxic to humans as to afford a hazard during transportation, or that in the absence of adequate data on human toxicity is presumed to be toxic to humans based on animal test criteria (oral, dermal, or inhalation LD50/LC50).
Isolate spill or leak area for at least 50 m (150 ft) for liquids and 25 m (75 ft) for solids. Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Use positive-pressure SCBA and chemical protective clothing.
Pesticides (organophosphates, carbamates), cyanides, arsenic compounds, mercury compounds, aniline, nitrobenzene, phenol.
